CA LOJERA – LUGANA SUPERIORE DOC
LUGANA. THE BEST EXPRESSION OF GARDA LAKE LIFE STYLE
Lugana is a classy wine from a very small area on the south side of Garda lake that we guess you’ll inlcude in your favorite wine list after tasting. Usually drunk only in Italy due to the small amount of bottles produced, now has started to be exported abroad with already great success.
A wide, persistent, mature Lugana, conceived to longevity. The nose is white floral and with notes of citrus skin, ripe fruit and glacial mint. In the mouth is warm, full body and smooth. Wisely aged for 24 months in oak big barrels, this lugana expresses its character when paired with risotto, fish dishes, white meats, mature or blue cheese. And we usually drink it as aperitif.
CA LOJERA – LUGANA DOC RISERVA “DEL LUPO”
RISERVA OF “THE WOLF”.. THEY GUARDED THIS WINE AS A GOLD BAR
For us is the king of Lugana wines. And the high points in the guides confirm this. The manual harvest is made at the beginning of November when grapes develop a noble mold that quickly dry them, emphasizing the mineral notes of the clay soil. Then the nose discovers tropical and citrus fruits. This powerful white wine has vibrant freshness with a perfect balance between sapidity and acidity. Perfect with sushi, oysters and seafood in general, is a bottle that can also wait many years to be opened.
CASCINA PASTORI – CHARDONNAY DOC “SILVIANDRE”
MADE BY ONE OF THE BEST OENOLOGISTS. BUT FOR ALL
A soft and fresh chardonnay signed by the Italian Riccardo Cotarella, one of the most renowned and esteemed oenologists in Europe. Tropical fruit and white flowers at the beginning, after few minutes the aroma evolves into notes of crusty bread and honey. At the mouth is pleasingly balanced with mineral taste which allows to appreciate the nice bouquet. Excellent as an aperitif or with light appetizers. It pairs very well with baked and fried herrings, thai food and vegetables.
